Kingdom #1185, Kingdom of Vandal, or simply K185 is an international community of players working together towards a great gaming experience and success in the Rise of Kingdoms mobile game.
K185 does not have a permanent king or a leading alliance. The current structure is made up of 3 main active alliances, with a 4th one that can host new players touching the Lost Temple and a series of active sub-alliances. The crown is rotated between the 3 main alliances, but the leadership is organized in a Kingdom Council where everyone has a voice, including the smaller sub-alliances over 2 billion power.
K185 leadership work is further distributed to cross-alliance teams. The MGE team tracking MGE ranks and score corrections; the Events team tracking other PVE events and Arks in the kingdom and when alliances organizes them so that players can find the best suitable time; the Titles team where volunteers from all alliances coordinate to cover title giving 24/7; the Recruiting team; the Diplomatic team for maintaining relationships with other kingdoms; the Data team which collects and monitors player stats, especially during KvK; the War Council during war and several more teams for specialized tasks like maintaining our Discord server and this website.
K185 has a history of war and success in KvK. The kingdom had Imperium status since KvK 1 until shortly before KvK 6 when players who did not contribute were asked to migrate away or delete troops. We fought with or against some of the top kingdoms out there and won 4 out of 5 KvK Seasons (KvK1, KvK3, KvK4 and KvK5). In KvK Season 6 — Heroic Anthem — the kingdom ended up on the weaker side, but executed a great defensive war strategy that resulted in a peace agreement and winning the respect of the opposing camps. Our former allies and opponents know us as resilient in battle, well organized, persistent and honorable. We respect both allies and opponents and always keep our word which is why some of our past opponents have become allies in later KvKs.
K185 is international and democratic. The main language in the kingdom and our main alliances is English, but we have players from all over the globe. Our player data collection revealed that our player base is balanced and split up in 30% Asia, 30% Europe and 30% North America. We like for players to have choices and we don’t prevent them from switching alliances if one is not a good fit for them. We run referendums on major issues that impact the kingdom so that players can express their own opinion and choices.
K185 has fixed MGEs with fair chances. Three out of four, or three out of five, depending on Lilith’s decisions, MGEs are fixed for every commander. This mean the top 10 ranks are decided based on an open application process that includes criteria such as: ability to max the commander in time for war and commitment to do so, available commander pairings, available equipment, timezone and past performance and contributions in KvKs. The goal is to get the commander in the hands of as many reliable players as possible across different timezones. We also gave chances to players who haven’t filled a rally leader or garrison captain role in the past, but wanted to prove themselves and do more for the kingdom. There is no bias towards whales or officers and several high spenders and established rally leaders accepted a lower MGE ranking so that someone else can get more sculptures and be able to max the commander.
K185 is stable and peaceful internally. Despite being structured into multiple alliances, there are no major leadership issues or internal wars and tensions and we all work together as friends. We have a code of conduct for leadership and players when it comes to public chats and any personal quarrels should be resolved in private. Attacks against cities, whether main accounts or farm accounts or tagless accounts, are not allowed unless sanctioned by the Council as punishment for serious violations of kingdom rules. The circumstances surrounding rules violations are carefully investigated and a punishment decision is issued by the Council, not a single player or alliance. Unsanctioned attacks or severe and intentional MGE rules violations can result in zeroing the offender.
K185 wants you.
